If you plan on attending an event, we ask that you register.  This insures that we have an accurate count of all attendees and we can adequately prepare for the event.

There are generally three different types of events which are listed on the site -

1. Free rides which are available to members-only
2. Free events which are available to both the public and members alike
3. Paid events that require an entry fee or hotel reservation - available to both members and non-members
   

Free rides which are available to the public
Potomac Pedalers offers over 1,000 free rides annually, which are available to the public.  In order to register for a ride you must log in as a member.  After you log in, click on the link that says Register for this event.  Then you'll be taken to a page that asks you to select the number of participants that you'll be registering.

For example, you want to register both you and your spouse for a ride - enter the number 2 and continue.  The next page has just a few questions such as your cell phone number and emergency contact.  You'll notice that your name and address are already completed on the form, as this information was retrieved from your member profile.  Fill in the required information and then continue.  Upon completion you will receive a registration confirmation e-mail.

You can click on the View the 1(or more) person(s) who has already registered to see who else has registered for the event.  This link will update as each new registration is processed.  This is a great way to see what rides your cycling buddies have already signed up for.  The day before your ride we will send you an e-mail reminder.  Now all that you have to do is show up and have fun!

Paid events that require an entry fee or hotel reservation
All of our Paid Events are open to the public as well as to our members.  For example, each year we host a cycling weekend to Williamsburg, VA.  Anyone can register for this event, whether you're a member or not.  Potomac Pedalers members will receive a member discount for all of our paid events.

It's important to know that as a member, you must login to our site and you will automatically receive member pricing for the event.  If you're not a member, please consider joining our club before you register.  It only takes a few minutes to join, and you'll receive member pricing for the event; plus you'll also receive many other member benefits year-round.

If the paid event which you are registering for requires hotel reservations, than you'll need to pick the type of room you require.  For example, double, triple, etc.  Every event has different reservation options due to the nature of hotels - some are even camping as opposed to a hotel.  So be sure to look over the entire event listing to see what your options are.  If you're unsure about something, contact the event director, whose name will be listed on the event page.
