10th Annual Big Pencil to Big Walker Charity Ride

Join us for a ride you will not forget, whether you are training for other regional epic mountain climbs or out to test your climbing skills on our 5,000 feet of elevation gain. The 10th annual Big Pencil to Big Walker Charity Ride winds through scenic Wythe and Bland counties, starting at the iconic “big pencil” on Wytheville’s Main Street, and climbing nearby Big Walker Mountain one time (45 mile route), two times (56 mile route) or three times for the century route.

Join us for a ride you will not forget, whether you are training for other regional epic mountain climbs or out to test your climbing skills on our 5,000 feet of elevation gain. The 10th annual Big Pencil to Big Walker Charity Ride winds through scenic Wythe and Bland counties, starting at the iconic "big pencil” on Wytheville’s Main Street, and climbing nearby Big Walker Mountain one time (45 mile route), two times (56 mile route) or three times for the century route. Participants in other May rides can receive a $15 discount off the regular $40 rate. All riders who help us meet our supplementary fundraising goal are eligible for a drawing for a $500 gas card. Fully supported ride with great rest stops—especially the one at the Big Walker Lookout.
