**CANCELLED** MAY RESCHEDULE MONDAY10/13/14**How do you take a 75 mile ride that you love and make it 60ish? Ask Jim! Move the start/end, trim a little loop, and voila 62 miles.
Since the Sunday BB ride is another Eric P Catoctin exploration, I sought a moderately flat ride with a hill or 2 somewhere just to not be boring. I knew the Turkey’n’Sherri rides from WHS would meet that requirement and also allow for the desired shorter routes. Ridewithgps does understate the climbing a little but these are relatively flat routes.
Join us and choose your distance. I’ll do the long route because I love that loop. I may even identify the tighter loop north of Taneytown that provides a 50-55 mile route.
Portable clean facilities at ride start.
No go in rain.
Ride leaders plan to ride near low end of flat pace 16 (B), 18 (BB) to preserve energy for Sunday.
BTW, slower riders that want to join are always welcome as long as you can read the cue and change a tire.
Directions: Head toward Frederick on I-270 or I-70. Continue north on I-270 which becomes US-15. Continue past the MD-26 exit for 4.1 miles. Exit right on Old Frederick Rd and continue for 1 mile. Turn left into the park and follow the road as it curves to the right for .3 miles to a parking lot on the left before getting to the main park buildings.
