ALL * 32/14 * WV * 1:30 PM * Tour of Antietam - Back Roads Century Warmup * Town Run Brewing Co.

If you plan on arriving in Shepherdstown on Saturday for Sunday’s Back Roads Century, you’ll have the opportunity to explore Antietam National Park by bicycle. We’ve designed touring rides of 14 and 32 miles which will also serve as a warm-up for the Century. Antietam is where 23,000 soldiers were killed, wounded or missing after twelve hours of savage combat on September 17, 1862. The Battle of Antietam ended the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia's first invasion into the North.

We will have 2 extra people on-hand for slower riders, if needed.

Potomac Pedalers will cover the park entrance fee and you will only need to let the park know that you’re with Potomac Pedalers.  After joining forces, both rides will stop at several historic sites and David Whitaker will provide historic oratory to make the story come alive. It will really be a treat!
