I led this ride last Thanksgiving and we had great weather and a very
good turnout. So, come on out cause there has to be a route that will
fit you in order to make room for that Thanksgiving meal you will
probably be scoffing down later today. As last year's Ride Description
said . . . . . . . the "A"s and "BB"s will probably make this a training
ride while the "B"s and "CC"s can just tool around enjoying the scenery
and each other's company. The Ride Leader intends to do the 42 mile
route, but has multiple shorter options as the weather dictates. The
two longer routes cover familiar roads up to Lisbon (Rest Stop) and back
while the shorter routes use many of the same roads, but with shortcuts
to rejoin the roads on the longer route. Please note the shorter
options do not go to the Lisbon Rest Stop, but loop back to LAV where
there is a convenience store. I was told "as a rule of thumb" during
the colder months to ride a mile for every °ree of temperature, so as
long as it doesn't get below
11° there is a route for you! The terrain is the typical moderately
hilly for the area with only two roads of any significance (Hipsley Mill
& Morgan-Woodbine). No go if raining (or snow) or wet roads.
