Did you know that you could ride in DC and not be in the midst of cars?
It's true! Come join us on this beautiful ride, through the tree lined
streets of NW and out to quiet stretches elsewhere in the District,
Virginia and Maryland (we continuously will alter the cue sheets
throughout the winter season). All routes will contain a wide variety
of steep climbs and flatter roads for pace lines. The ride offers
something for everyone - the division between "A" and "B" riders will
happen soon enough with at least one leader staying in front with the
sharks and at least one other staying in the rear. One rest stop. Ride
start of Mitchell Park is a hop, skip and jump from the Dupont Circle
Metro, and neighborhood parking is ample enough if you don't want to
leave your car at home. Note: there are no rest rooms at the Mitchell
Park, but there are more than enough nearby on Connecticut Ave by the
metro stop. No go in event of rain, snow or ice or if temperature is
below 25°. Shorter routes will be
organized for colder days. Check for breaking announcements on
Pedalers Google Group and PPTC website. For those interested, there
will be a post-ride meal at a groovy neighborhood cafe. Expect
additional leaders for all niches of "A", "BB" and "B" riders.
