We are very sad to report that one of our fellow cycilsts, Albert (Wayne) Caviness, died Saturday June 15, 2013.  According to the Fauquier Now website, "A 69-year-old bicyclist from Warrenton died Saturday afternoon after a pickup truck struck him on a two-lane road in northern Fauquier, according to state police.  …  A medical helicopter flew Mr. Caviness to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where he died about two hours later, Sgt. Tyler said.”

We never think that something like this could happen, and then it does.  We lose a friend who enjoyed many of the things we do.

Wayne was well liked in the cycling community and developed a strong relationship with the Bike Stop in Warrenton, VA.

Very sad. I didn't know him, but this is tragic. My prayers are with him and his family.
