Come to the Volunteers Party!
Saturday, November 9, 2013
6:00 – 9:00 PM

The annual Potomac Pedalers Volunteers Party is open to anyone who worked for the club during this past year. If you have served as a ride leader or coordinator, Club officer, member of a committee, host of a weekend event, helped at one of the Club’s special events including the Back Roads Century, the annual meeting, or this party, you are eligible and welcome to attend.
It is because of you that the Club enjoys the success it does, and you make cycling more enjoyable for the other members of Potomac Pedalers, both present and future.
The Club will provide an assortment of main course dishes (including vegetarian), beer, wine, soft drinks, plates, utensils, napkins, etc. We request that you bring a salad, side dish or desert to share. It’s a fun evening of food and good company. Volunteers are also needed to assist with set up and clean up – please contact Nancy Avitabile (info below) if you can help!

The Park Sutton
1900 Lyttonsville Road
Silver Spring, MD  20910
Main Number:  301-587-1430
Go to reception desk and ask for the Potomac Pedalers party.  The party room is on the 1st Floor.  Exit elevators and turn right.

From 495:  Take the Georgia Avenue South exit toward Silver Spring.  Stay in right lane, which exits to 16th Street after ¼ mile.  Continue in right lane.  Cross Second Avenue and take the next right at Lyttonsville Road.  The building is the high rise on the left.
From D.C.: The Park Sutton is on 16th Street approximately ½ mile north of East West Highway (Route 410).  If traveling north on 16th Street, cross East West Highway.  Stay in left lane.  Pass a small strip mall with Cameron’s Seafood and a bunch of fast-food restaurants on the right.  Continue over railroad bridge and take the first left on Lyttonsville BEFORE Second Avenue.  If you go as far as Second Avenue, make a U-Turn and turn right on Lyttonsville.  The building is the high rise on the left side of Lyttonsville.
Parking:  Park either on the left side of Lyttonsville or in the parking lot in the back of the building. Entrance to the parking lot is on the right side of the building.  Ignore the "permit only” signs in the parking lot.   All spots are available.
By Metro:  The building is exactly 1 mile from the Silver Spring Metro station (Red Line). Get on first car or plan to walk to the front of the train when you exit.  Take the north exit, which is the first escalator on the platform, and exit right.  Walk to Second Avenue/Wayne Avenue and turn left.  [Cross light at Spring Street and continue on Second Avenue.  Walk a total of 8/10 of a mile] to 16th Street.  Cross at light and turn left.  Walk one block to Lyttonsville.  You will see the high rise on the corner of 16th and Lyttonsville.
