Please join Bike Maryland for a Bicycle Friendly Business and Community Workshop to be held at the Hyattsville Public Library. The purpose of this event is to educate citizens about theLeague of American Bicyclists'Bicycle Friendly Business and CommunityProgram, and to help make the community a safer place to ride for transportation and recreation. Our goal is to provide businesses and communities with the tools they need to earn the prestigious Bike Friendly award from the League of American Bicyclists.

The first half of the workshop will provide information on how to become a Bicycle Friendly Business and Community as well as brief presentations from some of Maryland's Bicycle Friendly Businesses and Communities. The workshop will conclude with an interactive brainstorming session, allowing attendees to explore and discuss the development and implementation of a Bike FriendlyAction Plan for Hyattsville.

Bike Maryland urgently needs Volunteers to help with outreach to get leadership to the table. Volunteers would contact potential stakeholders like local bike advocates, elected officials, bike shops, friends and family!
