About the Ride: You can ride a few laps, several miles, or up to a full 100 miles on the 3.1 mile Hains Point loop.
The Hains Point 100 ride benefits the WABA (Washington Area Bicycle Association) Women and Bicycles Program. In Washington DC itself, women make up 54% of the population, but only
24% of bike trips are made by women. Whaat? No, we want to see that
percentage to grow!
WABA’s Women & Bicycles program seeks to get more women on bikes
through programming that will provide information targeted to overcome
barriers to cycling, provide coordination and mentoring, create a
cohesive network, and more.
Participants are encouraged to donate to the Women and Bicycles Program. Donations are gladly accepted even if you don't plan on attending or riding.
Click here for the Hains Point 100 website for full details. Registration in encouraged but not required.
