The Potomac Pedalers Annual Meeting & Potluck will be celebrating the Club's 50th Anniversary!
We will have long-time Club members on a panel speaking about the Club's history and how much has changed. And new and exciting....we hope to unveil a jersey design celebrating the Club's 50th Anniversary!!
In addition to the popular potluck, you'll have the opportunity to network and get information on specific topics and club events by visiting a few staffed resource tables. You'll meet knowledgeable Club members who can talk to you about: how to become a ride leader, bike touring, and annual club events. There will also be a new member table to help you feel right at home even if you don't know anyone!
Take note of the timing for the Annual Meeting:
- 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Register, Vote, Visit Resource Tables, Eat, and Mingle
- 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM: 50th Anniversary Panel Presentation
- 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Potomac Pedalers Business (announce winners of ExCom election and Club awards)
The business part of the meeting will involve our elections to the Executive Committee, information on our 2016 achievements and what's to come in 2017.
We Need Your Vote!
As you arrive and check-in, you will vote to elect members of the new Executive Committee - your attendance is important because we need a quorum for this election to be valid. View the current candidates!
And the Winner Is...
Following our speaker's talk, we will have our Club business meeting. You'll find out about Club changes and accomplishments. We’ll also introduce the new members of the Executive Committee you voted into office and, the really fun part, we’ll hand out our annual awards to recognize those members who work so hard to make the Club a success.
We hope this will be an entertaining, informative, and fun event for all. The River Road Unitarian Universalist Congregation served as the home of our Annual Meetings for many years, and we are returning there once again. (We have a larger space this year in the sanctuary!)
