2019-09-04 18:00:00 2019-09-04 18:00:00 America/New_York Downtown Breakaway (B version) This is the final Downtown Breakaway for 2019, so we will celebrate in style with a shorter loop, a pizza stop along the way back into town, and the camaraderie of bicycling friends reflecting on another season of this traditional DC ride. Note: please email the ride organizer (Rudi) by Monday, September 2, if you plan on attending the pizza dinner. These numbers are critical so we don't overwhelm the restaurant. It's MANDATORY to bring front and rear lights for safety, as we can get caught in the dark if delayed by mechanicals or road conditions. Rear lights should be in steady (non-blinking) mode while riding in a group. Additionally, for safety reasons (and because it's the law in Maryland), no headphones will be allowed on any Downtown Breakaway rides. Ride leaders will ride at a by-the-books “B” pace with a regroup or two along the way for slower riders to catch up. See details about parking, etc. in the “BB”/”A” description.
