2020-02-09 10:00:00 2020-02-09 10:00:00 America/New_York Cup of Joe Ride Going East! Mmm... coffee! Who doesn't like a good cup of Joe? And who wouldn't ride a good 35 miles for one? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then please feel free to join me this Sunday (2/9/20) as I will lead an Urban Adventure bike ride that will take us out to Takoma Bev Co. in Takoma Park in #BikeMD for a good cup or two of Joe. I am calling this The cup of Joe Ride Going East! The official ride comes in around 35 miles at 1,300 feet of #SunDayFunDay elevation that will take us on such trails as the Rock Creek, Anacostia Riverwalk, Northwest Branch and Silgo Creek. Meet 10:00 AM East Potomac Golf Course located at 972 Ohio Dr SW, Washington, DC 20024. Wheels roll at 10:15 AM sharp. Water, restrooms, bike pumps at the ride start. Obviously, we will stop along the way for breaks and quick eats at a convenience store. However, I advise bringing your own riding eats. The ride should come in around the 3-4 hour range at around 12-14 mph range. It is a no-drop ride, but please feel to drop in and bring a friend! Also, I may have some cue sheets for the ride, but best that you download them and print them out from the PDF file provided for this ride posting. For those traveling to ride by vehicle, please take note parking is free on at the Golf Course. Park in the center big lot and meet at the East Potomac Park Golf Center sign down in front of where the Potomac Grill is located. And for those traveling by Metro, take either the Blue, Green, Orange, Silver or Yellow line and get off at the L'Enfant Station. Exit the Station on 7th St SW and head south for about 4 or 5 blocks to Maine Ave SW. Make a right on Maine Ave SW and go about a half-mile and make a left on Ohio Dr SW and travel about a mile and the Golf Course will be on your right.
