About this event
This ride starts at the Walkersville High School and goes to Taneytown for the 1st rest stop. The second rest stop is in Gettysburg and the third is in Thurmont. It takes in the 3 covered bridges in Frederick County, the covered bridge near Gettysburg, and the beautiful stone Legore Bridge.<br /><br />This route has a slight alteration from my original route. I found a better way to ride through Gettysburg (avoiding traffic) and have a rest stop with a bathroom we can use and of course buy drinks and food.<br />There are some rolling hills along the way.
