About this event
This route goes near the base of Old Rag Mtn. It uses mostly low traffic roads in the shadow of the mountains. The base route is 60 miles, with the option to ride up & down Weakley Hollow for an extra 7 miles. Weakley Hollow is an easy 3.5 miles at 2-4%. Rest stop at Syria, mile 29.2, and another stop at Etlan, mile 41.6, for those who ride the option. This is a moderately hilly route so pace yourself wisely. The views of the mountains should offer some fall color. Ride starts at Culpeper County High School, 14240 Achievement Dr, Culpeper, VA 22701. There may be a portaloo at the school.
