It'll be hot, so we'll stay close to home, start early and hopefully be done by noon.

This is an excellent and surprisingly low-traffic route that starts inside the Beltway and goes almost to Poolesville. A plus is that we will spend relatively little time on River Road. We'll take just one break at Rileys around Mile 25. There is no food for purchase at our break stop, so BYO snacks. There is water and portable sanitation. If I don't have official signer-uppers by 8 pm Friday, I'll cancel.

ABOUT ROLL WITH RITA RIDES: This is the latest in a series of rides geared specifically toward fast-end CC riders who enjoy riding longer distances in a group but are tired of being dropped. Our style is to stay together (more or less), regrouping after long stretches or a tough climb, and ending with an average of about 13 mph. My philosophy is: "It's supposed to be fun."
