I have been leading this ride every year on July 4 (my birthday) following a tradition that was started by others from Glen Echo. The ride is relatively short, but hilly. The ride will go on neighborhood roads into Bethesda, Garrett Park, Rockville, and Kensington. There is only one very steep multi-use trail that connects Garrett Park Rd over the RR tracks into Garrett Park. Rest stop at the Old Town Market in Kensington.
