This awesome ride is back in action in 2024. It’s still a ride from DC out to the parks and to the leafy green streets of Montgomery Co - no car needed, with some new added perks since cycling is only as enjoyable as the coffee and tailgating.

As always, the route features loops with lots of rolling hills and a few lung-inhaling climbs. This month includes Mountain Gate and Berryville Road and traverses several urban neighborhoods on well-established bicycle corridors and through some quiet back roads around Potomac.

While we look forward to the joys of spinning harmoniously and consciously in pace lines, we are recreational riders and not racers, so we’re prioritizing socializing before and after the ride itself. We encourage all to arrive early before the 10:00 AM ride start to enjoy coffee and a pastry at Open City Coffee House (2321 Woodley Road, near the intersection with Connecticut Ave and a hop-skip-and-a-jump from the Woodley Park metro station on the red line. Enjoy a post-ride tailgate at Don Juan's in Mount Pleasant (1660 Lamont Street, NW at the corner of Mt. Pleasant Avenue).
