This is part of the Saturdays with Rita Z series -- longer, more challenging rides at a reasonable pace (ending with an average of 12-13 mph).

This week we'll head to the Gettysbury Battlefield. (No park pass needed but very limited services in the park). At ride start, park in first lot on the right inside the park, NOT on the first lot off the street by the playground. Opportunities to buy snacks or use indoor plumbing on this route are limited, so plan accordingly by bringing plenty of water, snacks and maybe a sandwich. (Route includes a loop to the visitor center, where there may be water and a restroom.) Ride leader, however, will not spend time touring the park or visitor center. It'll be in and out.
