Executive Committee Open Positions - Applications Needed

Join the ExCom!

Applications are needed by Tuesday, November 28th. 


Do you want a leading role in the largest cycling club on the East Coast? Join the Potomac Pedalers Executive Committee! We need energetic, enthusiastic club members to join the ExCom to help plan the course for the future of our Club--the largest cycling club on the east coast with over 3,000 members! 


Please consider your possible involvement in a 2-year term to the Executive Committee, bringing your ideas and experience to this dynamic group! We have a lot to do in terms of cycling safety and advocacy, developing new rides, and promoting cycling in the MD/DC/VA area. Please join us!


Open positions:

  • Vice-Chair, Century: Works with the committees responsible for planning and executing the Back Roads Century. 
  • Vice-Chair, Special Events: Works with the committees responsible for planing and executing the weekend and other special events rides along with planning the Volunteer Dinner and the Annual Meeting.
  • Recording Secretary: Responsible for taking notes during the ExCom meetings, drafting the minutes and submitting them for publication on the website.
  • Member-at-Large: Responsibilities as agreed to between the Chairman and the member.
All members of the ExCom, vote on Club business. ExCom meetings take place monthly; half are via teleconference.


As you can see we have some big openings! Now is the time to come forward and serve on the ExCom if you have thoughts about the future direction of Potomac Pedalers.


Applications are needed by Tuesday, November 28th. Members will vote and the winners will be announced at the Annual Meeting on December 3, 2017.
