Light Up The Darkness

Just a reminder to all our Potomac Pedalers that Daylight Savings Time comes to and end at 2;00 a.m on Sunday Nov. 4th. While it’s always a good idea to be cruising with lights to make sure cars see you it will become more critical when the sun suddenly sets and hour earlier than you are used. To. This is especially true for all of you that commute to work on bikes. In addition to lights, reflective clothing and add on’s are a good idea too. Especially around the ankles or feet which are in motion and easier for drivers to notice. So don’t be caught out riding and have the sun suddenly drop on you. For those of you in the near reaches of Arlington, Bike/Walk Arlington gives away small "be-seen" blinky lights and lots of reflective gear (vests, pant straps). They will be out two days from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM.

Monday, November 5 - Rosslyn Bikeometer (corner of Lynn and Lee Highway)
Wednesday November 7 - Columbia Pike (intersection of W&OD Trail and Columbia Pike, by the Learners Loop Park)
