%0A2017-10-15 10:00 %0A2017-10-15 10:00 America/New_York BVP ELK RUN AND BLT  CC * 39, 45, or 53 (MF-MH) * VA * Brentsville Park (BVP) * 45°or 95°/50% ELK RUN AND BLT  Mostly downhill with a tailwind.  The BLT sandwiches at the Elk Run store are my favorite!  And we get there at just the right time to enjoy a snack and rest.  There are many extended segments with no significant turns, but there are occasional curves.  The long route is glorious, and both are mostly flat with a few minor elevation changes to enhance the splendor of the quiet roads with their pastured or wooded borders.  Ascent is a gentle 1,435’ or 37 feet per mile for the short route and 2,188’ or 41 feet per mile for the long route.
