Join me for a scenic 63.2 mile ride along the C&O Canal Towpath to the Antietam National Battlefield in Sharpsburg, MD. The ride will travel mostly on the Towpath with the section we will be riding on is mostly flat, with packed dirt, light gravel and a tree root or two! Once at Antietam we will stop briefly at the Visitor's Center and proceed to ride the 9 mile bicycle tour loop of the Battlefield. After that, we head down the road to the Blue Moon Cafe in Shepherdstown, WV for eats and then hop back on the Towpath home.   Bike Doctor Frederick will be providing a pre-ride free bicycle inspection tent from 9:00 am until 9:30 am. Meet in the MARC Point of Rocks, MD Train Station parking lot. Ride out 9:30 am. I will have cue sheets. Ride cancels if rain or temps below 50°.  Note: I plan on offering this ride also as both a Frederick Pedalers and Oxon Hill Bicycle & Trail Club ride.  Point of Rocks Rail Road Station (POR)
