We will pass Arena Stage, the Titanic Memorial, National Stadium, and Yards Park before we bike over the wide and safe bike trail over the 11th Street bridge, and turn back onto the Anacostia Riverfront Trail.  The trail winds through lovely and quiet fields and neighborhoods.  We pass by the entrance to Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, always an option to visit especially mid summer when the lotus blossoms are simply spectacular.  We will stop at Bladensburg Waterfront Park for a rest and bathroom stop, then head on to Lake Artemesia.  Lake Artemesia is a 38 acre man made lake built in 1976 when the Metro Stop was built. It has great bike paths, a bathroom, and many gazebos and benches where we can take a longer rest break.  On the way back we will cross to the other side of the river, where we will stop at a true hidden gem: KINGMAN ISLAND, for a short break and photo op.  Please notes dates every other Tuesday- May 8, 22 June 5, 19 July 3, 17 August 7, 21 September 4, 18 October 2, 30 https://ridewithgps.com/ routes/27366582   CC: Jessica Hirschhorn [hirhoward@yahoo.com] [(240) 286-4815] Cue sheet for 32 mile route  cue_sheet_for_pp_district_hw_b_to_lake_artemesia.pdf     - Other Start Location DC
