Events - Day View
The event calendar shows upcoming club events. Select a view then use the navigation buttons to move
between dates. Click on the event to view more information, including the event description, times,
location, fees and any rules regarding attendance; you can also register for events from this screen.
Click on the magnifying glass on the toolbar to see search and filter options.
Start location at Ballenger Creek Park, off Ballenger Creek Pike south of Frederick. Park at the first lot on the left. This route is fairly flat overall (58 ft/mile), but has two challenging climbs over Catoctin Mountain, at miles 22 and 28. Rest stop at Point of Rocks Park, mile 21. Leader is targeting a 14 mph pace, but we won’t drop anyone who can maintain a 13.5 mph.

Yup: we are back for 2024, y‘all! A prompt 6pm departure will take us on an ever-changing route (due to sunset times) out to Montgomery County and back, taking myriad turns, climbs, descents, and views in along the way. THIS IS NOT A SHOW-AND-GO RIDE! Please click on the ride description and sign the online waiver (Google Form) - you need only do this once for the ENTIRE DTB series! Ride will not go in thunderstorms, AQI > 100, heat index over 100°F, bad windstorms, ice, or snow.
